FAQ - Specimen Panel

Will I be paid to participate?

Yes. We are offering Microbiology Labs that participate in our Reporting Panel $200.00 per quarter for providing the volume of specimens received each quarter for nine specimen types. This is a tax-free payment (no W2 forms, no IRS reporting).  All participating labs remain anonymous and individual lab data is not reported.  All specimen volume reporting is consolidated into a “total of specimens reported” which provides a baseline of information for various product sales comparisons.

What types of specimens do you collect?

Urine, Genital, MRSA surveillance screens, Blood, Stool, Wound, Throat, and Sputum/Respiratory, amongst others.

Why are you collecting this data?

The data being requested provides manufacturers with a comparative base of information to gauge their sales performance against and to better understand the movement and trending of various specimen types affecting their business performance levels.  The information you supply to us is consolidated and supplied back to manufacturers in sample formats as those attached.  Again, no individual lab facility is identified, nor is their respective specimen information revealed to anyone.

When is the next collection period?

Our next specimen reporting cycle will be in mid October, requesting specimen volumes for the period October 1 – January 31.
